WorkRoom is a digital platform that redefines the way businesses connect with talent and corporate service providers. Designed specifically for employers, WorkRoom allows hiring managers and companies to search for, connect with, and hire pre-approved professionals as well as engage with small businesses offering corporate products and services. Acting as a streamlined hub for professional connections, WorkRoom simplifies the search and communication processes, providing employers with an efficient tool for hiring and partnership management. This platform provides everything needed to find the right talent or partnership opportunity in one accessible, user-friendly app.
The concept behind WorkRoom emerged from the growing need for a centralized platform where businesses can effortlessly find and connect with the right people and resources. Traditional job boards and professional networking sites cater mostly to job seekers, leaving a gap for employers who need a focused, proactive approach to hiring and sourcing. WorkRoom fills this niche by enabling employers to access curated profiles, review resumes, initiate chats, and even explore bulk product orders or service partnerships from other businesses. This dual functionality helps companies save time, build strong partnerships, and improve hiring efficiency.
Developing WorkRoom involved a comprehensive design and research process. The team initiated the project with brainstorming sessions and focus groups on Miro to refine the concept and understand user needs. This groundwork allowed us to create a clear MRD (Market Requirements Document) and PRD (Product Requirements Document) to guide development. As project lead, I oversaw user flow mapping and coordinated with a UI designer who crafted the visuals in Figma, which we then transferred to InVision for interactive prototyping. Each screen was tested iteratively through daily usability tests, enabling rapid adjustments based on real-time feedback from users.
WorkRoom’s user experience was designed to make hiring and partnership searches straightforward for employers:
During development, the biggest challenges revolved around creating an interface that was both comprehensive and easy to navigate. Ensuring the usability of each feature, from profile viewing to chat functionality, required careful planning and frequent testing. By implementing daily user testing sessions, we identified and addressed potential issues early, refining user flows to enhance accessibility. Another critical aspect was balancing security with open communication, ensuring that both employer and professional profiles could interact in a secure environment.
WorkRoom has great potential to expand its functionality as a go-to platform for hiring and corporate partnerships. Future developments include implementing premium features, such as enhanced profile visibility for businesses, advanced analytics, and partnership recommendations. By continuing to evolve with user feedback, WorkRoom is set to become an essential tool for employers looking to efficiently manage talent acquisition and foster meaningful corporate relationships.
